A traditional Japanese water basin arrangement usually features 3 'Kneeling stones' as illustrated in the accompanying photograph.
We carefully select the kneeling stones in the correct proportions to match the size of water basin.
Ideally, the rocks should have flat tops.
The large flat rock in front of the basin is called Mae-ishi and two other rocks to the left and right are to hold a warm bucket of water in the winter and for a candle at night.
Expect to pay from £45 for 3 kneeling stones to compliment a 30 cm diameter water basin.
A larger diameter basin will require bigger kneeling stones and the price will be higher. We will select the rocks and e-mail you an image to show exactly what you will be receiving, and to assist you set them up,
The second image shows a typical grouping with a 45 cm Tetsu bachi.
