Azaleas & Rhododendrons

Caring & maintenance

Azaleas & Rhododendrons do not require regular pruning, but if space is at a premium, it is best done after the plant has finished flowering. They are a popular tree for the garden as the root systems are compact and not invasive. Their roots are slow growing and so will require extra watering during the summer. Furthermore they will tolerate full sun, but much prefer a shady woodland setting, if possible.

Any variety which displays the ‘Inkarho’ symbol have been designed to flourish in most normal garden soils. The Inkarho varieties have been developed under license in Germany over the past 25 years.
