Description

With fresh spring leaves being bright pink-red, the Acer palmatum Pixie is often compared to the ‘bloodgood’ variety. In the summer the leaves appear to have a deep red top surface, which deepens as summer continues while the underside of the leaf remains a dark green, bronze-like shade. In Autumn the leaves turn a fiery scarlet.

When young the Acer palmatum Pixie grows quickly, growth rate slows as it matures. Likely to grow to form a dense 2m tall bush.

Thrives best in partial shade or full sun. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist.

The pictures represent the exact tree you would receive and it’s current size is approximately 170cm tall* with 120cm spread.
