Description
Our Japanese gateways are an attractive and bold feature within a garden to highlight an entrance into the garden. We make each gateway bespoke in our workshop, adapting the size to suit the project.
They are constructed from chunky square profile softwood or hardwood timber which are either left natural, stained dark brown or black.
The roof is typically clad in Canadian Cedar shingles.
The minimum space we recommend for a gateway is total width 1.8m, with an internal walking width of 1.2m and walking height 2m.
We can adapt our designs to suit any project, our largest gateways to date were commissioned for Hammersmith Park with a total roof span of 4.5m.
