Only 1 left in stock

Acer palmatum Sango Kaku has green-yellow leaves with red margins in spring. In summer foliage turns light green before turning yellow-gold in Autumn. Sango Kaku are known for their dramatic red bark. The younger the wood the more intense the colour. The colour of the bark brightens in Autumn and intensifies as winter arrives.

Japanese maples are deciduous and therefore drop their leaves in winter.

Acer palmatum Sango Kaku grows well in partial shade or full sun. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist.
