Description

Acer palmatum Orangeola has bright orange-red foliage in spring that turns red-green in summer. Mid summer some Orangeola’s display flushes of orange on their foliage. In Autumn the leaves turn dark red then a fiery orange-red. This acer grows to form a mound-shaped tree or shrub.

Japanese maples are deciduous and therefore drop their leaves in winter.

Acer palmatum Ornatum grows well in partial shade or full sun. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist.
