Description
Acer palmatum Ornatum has bronze-red foliage that turns bronze-green late summer before turning crimson red in Autumn. This acer grows to form a mound-shaped tree or shrub.
Japanese maples are deciduous and therefore drop their leaves in winter.
Acer palmatum Ornatum grows well in partial shade or full sun. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist.
