Delivery, Terms & Conditions
All items bought online or by mail order are packed and dispatched by our experienced staff at the Japanese Garden Centre. Deliveries are made on Weekdays by third party delivery companies either by Courier, or Pallet. Delivery charges are added to your order at the checkout and are automatically calculated based on delivery address and total weight of your order. We can only dispatch items to the delivery postcode that you submit when ordering.
Indicated for small, light items such as bamboo water spouts, tying string, water ladles, etc.
We charge a small fee for packaging. Parcels are restricted to a maximum length of 2 meters.
Parcels should arrive between 2-5 days after dispatch.
Indicated for large, heavy goods that can be transported on a pallet.
Up to 1000kg can be delivered on a single FULL pallet , such as aggregate in bulk bags, rock, granite products.
Please note that most of our deliveries are made on QUARTER pallets and HALF pallets at reduced rates. Charges are made for each pallet delivered. When you place an order online you are given the option of selecting a weekday in which delivery is most appropriate for you. Please ensure that someone is at the delivery address to receive the pallet. Deliveries normally occur between 8am and 8pm.
Please ensure that you have suitable access for a rigid lorry (up to 6 m long) otherwise additional delivery charges may be made. If you are concerned that your address has restricted access for a large lorry please get in contact with us before placing an order. We may be able to organise delivery on a smaller, 7.5ton lorry. Goods are off-loaded from the rear Tail-platform to the ground, and then moved on a manual pallet trolley to the nearest hard standing. The pallet trolley can only manouver on level, hard paved surfaces. The pallet trolley can not navigate gravel driveways, steps or inclines. If in doubt, please get in touch with us before completing your order.
This independent haulage company is contracted to deliver to kerb side only, and the driver is not responsible for any additional lifting or carrying of your goods. Please ensure that someone is at the delivery address to receive the pallet. Again, if in doubt, please check with us before contracting this service. The Pallet that the goods are delivered on and any packing used is of the customer’s responsibility to dispose of.
Failed deliveries for whatever reason will still be charged to the customer, you may also incur a redelivery charge.
We currently have automatic shipping set up for the UK (including ROI), Channel Islands, Isle of White & Isle of Man. If you live outside one of these countries please contact us with your enquiry and we will quote you the delivery costs.
We have shipped Japanese garden materials as far afield as Dubai, Malta and the US. We will endeavour to find the most cost effective method of shipping, that fits within your time frame. Our delivery partners have experience in road, air and sea freight.
