Description
Acer pal Beni Tsukasa is a deciduous tree that in spring leaves emerge red with green undertones. Slight various shades of colours of yellow/green/pink before turning predominately green in the summer before ending in vibrant orange/red in Autumn. Happy positioned in full sun or partial shade, the more sun exposure the more dramatic the autumn display will be.
Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist. Suitable for any soil type, although ericaceous compost is preferable. Clay soil that retains water, dig a larger hole than necessary and add some shingle to help with drainage to avoid the Japanese Maple getting waterlogged.
