Description
Acer palmatum Garnet displays rich red-orange coloured leaves. If planted in a shady location the leaves may appear more green, with the rich colour developing when the tree is exposed to more sunlight.
Part of the dissectum group, the leaves are finely dissected. This tree has a spreading habit which means it will take form as a mound-shaped cascading tree. This tree can remain planted in a pot or can be planted in the ground.
Acer palmatum Garnet grows well in partial shade or full sun. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist.
