Description
An Acer palmatum Sumi nagashi has leaves with 7 lobes that are deeply divided. The leaves have pointed tips and the edges are slightly toothed. In spring the leaves appear purple red, which darken to a deep purple in summer transitions to a deep green-red throughout summer. In autumn leaves are crimson in colour.
Acer palmatum Sumi nagashi grows well in partial shade, although they can tolerate full sun. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist. The Acer will grow as an upright tree or shrub.
The pictures represent the exact tree you would receive and it’s current size is approximately 100cm tall* with 50cm spread.
