The Renge-ji Japanese stone lantern, hand carved from natural silver grey granite in 6 pieces, is one of the new styles of Japanese lanterns in our range.
This tall, elegant lantern has a distinctive steeply sloping tiled roof and base stone rich in detail. The cylindrical column supports a hexagonal piece below the fire box. The light box is finely carved on 6 sides but is not suitable to install a low voltage light or wooden diffusers.
This lantern comes in 6 separate pieces. You can leave the pieces sitting freely on top of each other. If you live in a particularly windy area or you are worried about children or animals knocking into the lantern you can stick the pieces together using a clear, outdoor adhesive such as Stixall.
One of our Renge-ji lanterns would be an attractive focal point in any oriental garden.
This column lantern – tachi gata – is available in 2 heights measured from the top of the base.
