Tenka Chaya Nara style Japanese stone lantern, hand carved from natural silver-grey granite in 4 pieces. The Tenka Chaya has a distinctive square form with carved detailing on the light box and base. This Japanese ornament will be an exact stone match to the Japanese water basins in our Nara range. This stone lantern has a rustic appearance with a smooth finish. For a finer detailed ornament see our Tenka Chaya granite lantern in the Kyoto range.
The lantern is not drilled to accept a low voltage light. We can make a light diffuser for this style of lantern. Tenka Chaya’s only require 1 diffuser per lantern.
This lantern comes in 4 separate pieces. You can leave the pieces sitting freely on top of each other. If you live in a particularly windy area or you are worried about children or animals knocking into the lantern you can stick the pieces together using a clear, outdoor adhesive such as Stixall.
This style of lantern – oki gata – is available in one size which refers to the width and depth of the top lid.
