Description
Tenka Chaya Nara style Japanese stone lantern, hand carved from natural silver-grey granite in 4 pieces. The Tenka Chaya has a distinctive square form with carved detailing on the light box and base. This stone lantern has a rustic appearance with a smooth finish. For a finer detailed ornament see our Tenka Chaya granite lantern in the Kyoto range.
The lantern is drilled to accept a low voltage light. We can make a light diffuser for this style of lantern. Tenka Chaya’s only require 1 diffuser per lantern.
This lantern comes in 4 separate pieces. You can leave the pieces sitting freely on top of each other. If you live in a particularly windy area or you are worried about children or animals knocking into the lantern you can stick the pieces together using a clear, outdoor adhesive such as Stixall.
This style of lantern – oki gata – is available in one size which refers to the width and depth of the top lid.
