The Japanese Garden Centre is expanding our range of oriental structures and is now pleased to offer Japanese style ‘home office’ buildings. They are available in pre-fabricated kit form and in a range of sizes to suit most garden environments.
Our ‘home office’ kits feature fully insulated floor, wall and roof panels and finished externally with sandstone masonry painted walls with contrasting dark brown softwood trim. EPDM liner keeps the sloping roof weatherproof and this is hidden from view by the dark brown timber fascias on all sides. The doors and windows included in the kit are white uPVC with double glazing, but at additional expense these can be supplied in a different colour or made in powdered coated aluminium.
Our kits include all the modular panels and timber required to erect the building. All the external pre-painted wall cladding sheet material, the dark brown timber trim, the EPDM roof liner, the uPVC doors and windows and the natural granite ‘pad-stones’.
Our kits do not include internal wall, ceiling or floor finishes as individual customers will all have their own preferences. The walls and ceiling would most likely be finished in traditional emulsion painted plasterboard and the floor covering could be carpet or bamboo planks to enhance the oriental feel. As an alternative to painted walls, the home office would look equally attractive finished in a light coloured timber veneer MDF sheet material such as Beech or Oak.
The home office kit would require the services of a local carpenter or builder to erect from the simple instructions that we would supply. In addition, an electrician would install power sockets and lighting.
Small home office kit: This building has an internal footprint of 2.00 m x 2.20 m. The height at the front fascia is just under 2.50 m and slopes towards the rear of the building for rain water run off. A single side entrance door, a top-hung window in the front elevation and a decorative round Shoji window beside the door keep the room bright and airy. This kit retails for £9999 + VAT
Medium home office kit: This building has an external footprint of 3.00 m x 2.60 m that includes the covered composite entrance deck. The height at the front fascia is just under 2.50 m and slopes towards the rear of the building for rain water run off. A sliding entrance door, a top-hung window in the front elevation and a fixed pane window with Shoji lattice detail keep the room bright and airy. This kit retails for £12999 + VAT
Delivery: The pre-fabricated building would be packed on an oversize pallet and delivered to your home using a network of independent transport companies. Please note that help would be required on site to off-load the individual items from the delivery lorry. The delivery charge is based on your postcode so please contact us about this service.
