Description
Hand carved from silver grey granite, the Nousagi is approx. L35cm x H20cm and 20kg.
The Nousagi (wild rabbit) holds gentle symbolic meaning in Japanese culture, often associated with good fortune, cleverness, and renewal. Rabbits are also linked to the moon in Japanese folklore, where they are said to live as the “moon rabbit,” quietly pounding rice cakes. As decorative figures, nousagi represent harmony, innocence, and the natural rhythms of life, bringing a sense of calm, luck, and quiet beauty to any space.
