Description
Acer palmatum Summer Gold produces orange-yellow leaves in early spring, which go through a spectrum of yellow shades turning bright yellow to yellow-gold, yellow-green in the height of summer before finally turning golden yellow in autumn.
Acer palmatum Summer Gold grows well in partial shade or full sun, although full sun can cause leaf scorch. Summer Gold is one of the hardiest yellow leafed maples, meaning it can thrive better than others in hot, sunny landscapes. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist.
