Description

Helleborus is an evergreen small-medium-sized plant. Flower characteristics depend on the variety.

Helleborus orientalis has saucer-shaped flowers that range from pink, purple to green from late winter/early spring. Helleborus is known to be attractive to birds, and can be toxic to cats, dogs, and horses.

Helleborus foetidus has dark green stems with light green and purple-edged flowers, which appear in late winter.
