The Misaki Japanese Stone Lantern, hand carved from natural silver-grey granite comes in 4 pieces. Traditionally, you should place your Misaki stone lantern near water. This style of Lantern is known as an Oki-gata.
In Japan, they are most often used beside a stream or set on a peninsula of land jutting out into a pool of water, as they allude to Japanese Lighthouses.
The diameter of the top lid is 45cm.
This Japanese stone lantern is not drilled. We can arrange to drill the Lantern; please contact us to discuss this service. Alternatively, you can place a tea light or candle in this Lantern to produce light.
