A traditional Japanese water basin arrangement usually features 3 Kneeling stones as illustrated in the accompanying photographs.
We carefully select the stones in the correct proportions to match the size of the water basin.
Ideally, the rocks should have flat tops.
The large flat rock in front of the basin is called Mae-ishi, while the two other rocks are to hold a warm bucket of water in the winter and a candle at night.
We charge from £45 for 3 rocks to compliment a 30 cm diameter water basin.
A larger diameter basin will require bigger kneeling stones and the price will be higher.
We will select the rocks and e-mail you an image to show exactly what you will be receiving, and show you how to set them up.
